Collect Tax on Storefronts

Learn how to set up your storefront to collect taxes on it.

Updated over a week ago

Revv allows for-profit organizations to sell merchandise and collect sales tax through a storefront.

The organizations must set up a TaxJar integration to calculate sales tax during a merchandise order.

The relevant information will also be sent to TaxJar so the organization can file its taxes.

Onboard onto Revv

Head here to start the Revv Onboarding process. Enter the organization's information and select For Profit as the organization type.

Once the for-profit Revv account has been created and approved by our team, follow the instructions below.

Set up the Tax Jar Integration

Revv does not handle sales tax calculations. Instead, the organization can integrate with a TaxJar account.

Once an account is created, navigate to the TaxJar API under settings and click the blue Generate API Live Token button.

A live token will then be generated, which is what organizations will need to input into the Revv.

Set up the Integration on Revv

Afte the token has been generated, reach out to our team at [email protected] to set up the merchandise integration.

Click the green plus button and select Revv Merchandise from the menu.

Then, a new menu will appear. Select Ace Specialties as the default fulfillment house and enter the TaxJar API key.

After inputting the TaxJar API key and other information, activate the integration and click Save at the bottom of the page.

Enable in Storefront Settings

Once on the Settings subtab, navigate to the Advanced tab.

Here, toggle the Sales Tax as on, and hit save.

Donors will then see the tax calculated during checkout, as shown below.

Create Products

Your mockups will then be sent to our merchandise team, and we will reach out to you with the next steps to get your merchandise launched!
